On Location
Uptown Charlotte murals and skyline, parks and greenways, brick and ivy campus walls, open fields at golden hour. We scout the spot to match your senior, not the other way around.
Meaningful Places
Your school, your field, your family farm, your front porch. If a location means something to your family, it makes a better portrait than anywhere we could pick.
Outdoor sessions are scheduled around light. Early morning or the hour before sunset gives warm, flattering light with no harsh shadows. We plan the session time around that, not around the calendar.
Wardrobe Changes And What To Bring
Bring more than you think you need. Changes cost you nothing but a few minutes and they multiply the number of looks you walk away with.
The Classic Look
Something dressy. A blazer, a dress, a button down. This is the frame that ends up framed on a wall and printed in the yearbook.
The Everyday Look
What your senior actually wears. Jeans, a favorite jacket, sneakers. These are the photos that look like the real person 10 years from now.
Cap And Gown
Bring the full set including the tassel and any honor cords or stoles. Steam the gown the night before, because fold creases photograph badly and are tough to retouch.
The Passion Look
Jersey and helmet, instrument, cleats, ballet shoes, art supplies, ROTC uniform, work boots. Whatever your senior spent 4 years doing, bring it.
Solid colors photograph better than tight patterns. Skip large logos unless the logo is the point. Bring 2 pairs of shoes if the session moves between studio and outdoors.

Cap And Gown And Graduation
Cap and gown portraits are their own thing and they are worth doing properly. Schools hand out gowns that never quite fit, so we pin, steam and straighten before we shoot. The tassel goes on the correct side. Honor cords sit flat and centered.
We shoot the formal version against studio seamless and the celebratory version outdoors with the cap in the air. Families usually want both and both come out of the same session.
If you also want graduation day itself covered, that falls under our event photography service. Ceremony, the walk, the family gathering afterward. Book it early, because graduation weekends fill up fast across the Charlotte area.
Sports And Activity Shots
This is where senior portraits get fun. Four years of early practices and late games deserve more than a roster photo.
We shoot on the field, on the court, in the pool deck lights, at the track. Full uniform, game face, ball in hand. We use off camera lighting outdoors so your senior stands out against the field instead of squinting into the sun.
Same approach for everything else. Marching band on the 50 yard line. Dance in the studio mirror. Theater on the stage with the house lights up. Robotics team with the actual robot. Welding students in the shop with sparks flying. If it mattered to them, it belongs in the session.

Book early. Senior season runs heavy from late summer through fall and again in spring before graduation. Popular weekend slots and golden hour times go first, so give yourself a few weeks of lead time.

After the session you receive your edited images as high resolution digital files, ready for printing, yearbook submission and social. Every picture from the session is included. Rush turnaround is available for an added fee if a yearbook deadline is closing in, and deliverables are released after full payment.
