Video Production Kannapolis NC
A research lab, a production floor and a downtown storefront need 3 very different cameras pointed at 3 very different problems. We handle all 3. Charlotte based, on site in Kannapolis inside 45 minutes.
Horizontal Videos
This is the work Kannapolis asks for most. Shooting inside an operating facility is a specific skill. You cannot stop the line. You cannot light the way you would light a studio. You have to know what a safety officer will object to before they object. We have done enough of these to plan around all 3.

Vertical Funnel Videos
Every shoot produces vertical deliverables out of the footage we already captured. No second shoot day and no separate budget line. These are real 9:16 builds from recent campaigns. Each one is built as a social sales funnel piece: hook, proof and a clear next step.

A City That Rebuilt Itself Needs Video That Says So
Few places in the region have changed as much as Kannapolis. The textile mills that defined this city for generations are gone, and what replaced them is not a parking lot. The North Carolina Research Campus put laboratories, nutrition science and biotech on the same ground. Downtown got rebuilt around Atrium Health Ballpark. The city now sits across Cabarrus and Rowan County lines with an economy that looks nothing like its old one.
That history is a marketing asset most Kannapolis companies underuse. A manufacturer here can point at 100 years of making things and mean it. A research organization can show a campus that did not exist 20 years ago. A downtown restaurant can show a street that people actually walk again. Video is the only format that carries all 3 of those at once.
We are based in Charlotte. We do not have a Kannapolis office and we will not pretend otherwise. What we do have is a crew that has spent 20+ years shooting inside plants, labs and job sites across this region, and we get to Kannapolis in under an hour. If you need coverage in the city too, our Charlotte video production page covers that work.
Services For Kannapolis Organizations
Facility Walkthroughs
A single film that shows a buyer, a recruit or a regulator what you actually do. Shot around production, not instead of it.
Training And Safety Video
Onboarding, visitor orientation and procedure modules. Our safety and training videos get watched instead of skipped.
Research And Lab Content
Explaining complex work to non technical audiences is a writing problem before it is a camera problem. We start with the script.
Construction Progress
Timelapse and milestone coverage for projects across Cabarrus and Rowan. See our construction video production work.
Documentary Pieces
Mill heritage, founder history and community impact. Our documentary video production approach suits a city with this much past.
Drone Coverage
FAA Part 107 licensed pilots for campus, site and downtown aerials that show scale a ground camera cannot.
How We Work Inside An Operating Facility
Safety And Access First
Before anything else we get your safety requirements, PPE rules and restricted zones in writing. Jane Caillio handles the paperwork, insurance certificates and site access so shoot day is not the first time anyone hears about it.
Walk The Floor
We visit before we shoot when the schedule allows. We find where the noise is, where the light fails and which machines will be running. That walk is what keeps a shoot day from turning into a guessing game.
Shoot Around Production
Charles Canady runs the floor with a compact crew. We do not ask you to stop a line unless we agreed to it in advance. Most Kannapolis facility shoots finish in 1 day.
Review And Deliver
Rough cut in 5 to 7 business days. Technical and compliance teams usually want a look before marketing signs off, so we build that into the review round. Final lands about 2 business days after consolidated feedback.
Questions From Kannapolis Clients
Can you shoot at the North Carolina Research Campus?
Yes, subject to whatever access and confidentiality terms the tenant organization sets. We sign NDAs routinely and we are used to working in environments where some equipment or screens cannot appear on camera. Tell us the restrictions at scoping and we build the shot list around them.
Our plant cannot stop production for a video. Is that a problem?
No. We plan for it. We shoot around running equipment, use compact lighting that does not block walkways, and schedule the noisy sequences separately from interviews. Stopping a line has never been a requirement on our side.
Do you cover Rowan County as well, since Kannapolis sits across both lines?
Yes. The county line does not change anything for us. Kannapolis, Concord, Salisbury and the surrounding area are all inside our normal travel range from Charlotte with no added travel fee.
We want to use our mill history in a brand film. Can you source archival material?
We can work with archival photos and footage you own or have rights to, and we will cut it against new material. We do not clear third party archive rights on your behalf, so anything from a museum or historical society needs permission from the holder first.
Can you shoot a downtown Kannapolis event and a facility in the same week?
Yes, and combining them into 1 project usually costs less than booking 2. We schedule both into a single production window and run 1 edit cycle across the whole package.
Start Your Kannapolis Project
Tell us what the video has to do and who has to approve it. We scope it, quote custom packages to choose from and put a date on the calendar. Facility shoots usually need 2 weeks of lead time for access and safety sign off.
